ISMS Interim Meeting

The IETF Integrated Security Model for SNMP (ISMS) Working Group will hold an interim meeting on February 13-14, 2006. The meeting will be hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at 304 Vassar Street in Cambridge, MA USA.

The primary purpose of this meeting will be solving open issues that concern Internet drafts draft-ietf-isms-secshell-00.txt and draft-ietf-isms-secshell-00.txt and that are under discussion on the mailing list. An intensive face-to-face discussion of these issues was started at the IETF meeting in Vancouver, but far more meeting time is needed to solve them. See the ISMS page for more details concerning the history and current status of the ISMS working group.

Venue and Hotel Information

The meeting will be at 304 Vassar Street in Cambridge. 304 Vassar Street is MIT building W92. It's not really on the main MIT campus.

We won't know which room we will be in until we know how many people are coming. Either W92-199 or the Back Bay conference room. W92 has a staffed front desk and is an access-controlled building, so people will have to talk to the front desk anyway. If they say they are atending the IETF meeting we can get them in and to the right place.

Building W92 is west of the MIT Student Center and dormitories at 304 Vassar Street. This is at the corner of Amesbury Street and Vassar Street, and near the corner of Amesbury Street and Memorial Drive which is just before the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Memorial Drive. See also MIT's map of the area around W92.

If coming from the Mass Pike, follow the directions until you turn left onto Amesbury Street, and W92 will be right there at the corner of Amesbury and Vassar Streets. If coming from Interstate 93, follow the directions until you turn right onto Mass. Ave. Then make the 2nd left onto Vassar Street. Follow Vassar Street for three blocks (the first block is very long) and then make a left onto Amesbury Street.

The closest hotel is the Cambridge Hyatt which is right across the street (about a 30 second walk from the building).
