Courses in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

The EECS group offers three undergraduate majors: ECE, CS, and EECS and two graduate programs: CSE and Smart Systems.

The university information system, into which the links below point, only distinguishes CS and EE courses for historical reasons. Therefore the course listings below only give an indication of the available courses: roughly, ECE and CSE courses fall under "Electrical Engineering", CS and Smart Systems courses fall under "Computer Science", and EECS courses come from both categories. For details see the handbooks of the respective programs.

Graduate and undergraduate courses can be distinguished by their course numbers, as the third digit indicates the year when they should be taken; hence, undergraduate courses have the form xxx1xx, xxx2xx, or xxx3xx, while graduate course numbers have the form xxx4xx or xxx5xx.

For students: As undergraduate, you definitely want to subscribe to the eecs-undergrads mailing list; as a Smart Systems graduate, the eecs-smartsystems-students list is yours. For subscription follow instructions on lists.jacobs-university.de/mailman/listinfo/.
